Traditional tadelakt is a lime plaster originating from Morocco. Although tadelakt is strong, it is a lime plaster that lacks the strength of microcement. It is susceptible to chipping and staining, and if it is original tadelakt, it must be maintained with regular soaping and/or waxing to retain its water-resistant characteristics.
